Shout out to the disabled people making progress that no one recognizes because it’s not what society considers to be “impressive” or “commendable”
Shoutout to all the disabled people who are managing to get out of bed for the first time in months.
Shoutout to the disabled people who made their own meals today.
Shoutout to the disabled people who are going back to school/ work.
Shoutout to the disabled people who went grocery shopping.
Shoutout to the disabled people who drove themselves around.
Shoutout to the disabled people who managed public transport.
Shoutout to the disabled people who accomplished any or all of the things they wanted to today.
And a big shoutout to the disabled people who didn’t do any of these things bc they finally gathered the strength to say no and listen to their limits.
Your accomplishments are worthy. Your life is worthy. YOU are worthy. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise because you aren’t “productive” according to society’s standards.

“if somebody becomes panicked when you accuse them of lying theyre obviously not telling the truth” shut up ugly im a survivor who got punished for shit i never did all the time of fucking course im gonna panic when im blamed for something i didnt do
since this post is actually getting attention rn i really want to emphasize this-
many of the “tells” of lying are traits commonly found in abuse survivors and mentally ill/disabled people.
stuttering, averting eye contact, panicking, raising your volume, fidgeting, and other similar traits are actions performed commonly by these groups, especially in situations of heavy stress- such as being accused of doing something we didnt do, especially if we are afraid of being punished for doing nothing.
im honestly begging people to think critically when accusing somebody of lying for small traits like these.

rich ppl are like so easily convinced abt ghosts I remember growing up it was near this vacant lot and whenever I broke a toy instead of going to face the wrath of my mother I would fucking bury it in that lot and then sure enough, some dude tried to develop the land and found a ton of buried rotten dolls and shit and told everyone it was haunted
it’s been over a decade and that lot is still vacant
You single handedly tanked the value of someone’s prime real estate and that makes me happy
As soon as I read this I immediately started thinking of ways to do this on purpose to get cheap land and I was five posts down my dash before I realised I was becoming Scooby Doo villain

The thing about how horrifyingly, lethally hot this summer is (across basically the entire northern hemisphere) is that yes, it is, and yet if I live for another 60 years maybe 40 of them are going to be hotter than this one. Maybe even that’s optimistic. Any acknowledgement of how bad it is right now is inseparable from the realisation that it not only can be worse, but absolutely will be worse.
I’m not saying anyone should be panicking, but I am saying that as a society, as a planet, we ought to be pouring resources into finding ways to keep people alive under these unprecedented conditions; it’s going to be one of the major public health and civil engineering challenges of this century, and we can see it coming. Yet instead, because capitalism, what we are in effect doing is pouring resources into finding ways to make these conditions worse.
That’s not acceptable.
